Clinical trial of ivermectin in Aichi Prefecture to see if it is effective against new coronas
Ivermectin clinical trial in Aichi. Will it work against new coronas?
We will do everything we can to help clarify the usefulness of ivermectin for new coronas.
(Aichi Prefecture Governor Hideaki Omura)
The trial is being conducted at the request of Kowa, a Nagoya-based drug maker, and will be conducted on a voluntary basis on patients with new coronas who are 20 years old or older and have symptoms such as fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher.
In the clinical trial, one group will take ivermectin for three days and the other group will take sham ivermectin for three days, and the results will be monitored for 11 days.
The clinical trial began on January 1 at three locations: an overnight care facility in Nagoya City, and the Eastern and Western Medical Centers, and is scheduled to be conducted on about 100 patients within this fiscal year.
